STYLING CREATIVE 70'S THEME TUESDAY 5TH AUGUST

Today I took part in my first styling event as a fully fledged model at CWS. The theme was creative 70's theme and i took my inspiration from my idol as a child in the 70's, Wonderwoman.
The winners were as follows......

1st -DarkCallaFlower Resident
2nd- Lua Vendetta
3rd-Steph Lytham
Yes I got 3rd place! My first time placed in a styling event, I was sooo pleased. Well done to DarkCalla and Lua, you both looked awesome.
Here is my outfit description......................

Hello and welcome to todays CWS styling event creative 70's. A warm welcome to our lovely audience, Anrol, Steve and Judge Debbie. My name is Steph Lytham.
For tonights theme I felt a lot of people would go with the 70's disco theme. Being a 70's child I thought about what was important to me when I was a child, and that was..... you guessed it! Wonderwoman! Lynda Carter was my complete idol when I was a little girl.
I ate slept and breathed her as a little kid! She was a huge part of the 70's for me. I even had a fancy dress costume my older cousin made for me that I used to wear FAR too much when I think back; and won first prize in a competiton at Pontin's holiday camp wearing it hehe.

First created by DC comics waaay before I was born in 1941, in fact before my Mum was born!
I am Wonderwoman, Princess of the Amazons created by Marston, an American, as a "distinctly feminist role model whose mission was to bring the Amazon ideals of love, peace, and sexual equality to a world torn by the hatred of men."
My powers include superhuman strength, flight, super-speed, super-stamina, and super-agility. I am highly proficient in hand-to-hand combat and in the art of tactical warfare. I also possess an animal-like cunning and a natural rapport with animals, which has in the past been presented as an actual ability to communicate with the animal kingdom. I use my Lasso of Truth, which forces those bound by it to tell the truth, a pair of indestructible bracelets, a tiara which serves as a projectile. So watch out or you may get my Lasso around you! Wow here it comes!

Wonderwomans sexy shape is my own creation, skin from Laq, eyes from Burroughs and hair from Damselfly.
Costume is a mix of A&K and Costume Creations, boots from BodyMix and Lasso by DelEmma designs and Body glitter is from Knuckleheads. Gold necklace is from RYCA Jewelry.

My first week as a model at CWS

With graduation over it was time to tackle my first goal of the week which was to get through clearance and hopefully get my Simply D'Best Model tag. This Happened on Tuesday and how proud I am to wear my new Tag.
As a treat to myself I bought some new outfits and had my good friend Zappy Wingtips take some photographs of me at her studio.

Taking our finals Tuesday 26th July

Well I have just finished my finals about 2 minutes ago. Wow! That was an intense hour and 45 minutes. I think I did ok apart from a few nerves. I hope I did well enough. At the end of our exam Anrol asked us to character test on the runway in front of her, to go back to how we were as a newbie. We took pictures. It's amazing to see  how far I have came since November. It's strange to think i looked like that! Here's are the pictures of it for your viewing pleasure :-)

I'd like to wish all my fellow students the best of luck for their results. I've enjoyed our time training together and hopefully i'll see you all at graduation on Thursday. Now we wait.............................and hopefully sleep.
I tried my best under pressure, I was much more nervous than I have been before during my time here at UCWS. I did my best. Thank you to Anrol for taking time out today to put us through our final exam, I hope I didn't let anyone down. I'll post back here as soon as I have my results.................................. crosses her fingers tight. Bye for now, hugs xxx

Midterms Sunday July 24th 2011

Today we had our midterm exam at UCWS. We had to perform beach and dome formations in front of our trainers. For beach we had to wear a swimwear outfit with an ARC of less than 250 including shoes and hair. For dome we had to wear an elegant evening outfit with an ARC of less than 750. This can be tricky but I managed it.
Great news was to follow.... we had passed!
Now we to make sure we are perfect for our finals later this week. At the end we had a picture taken with our trainers who have been amazing! All credit to them for being so patient and helpful with us. We couldn't have got this far with out them.
I'll miss my classmates but i'm looking forward to seeing us all do well in our finals, and hopefully graduate on Thursday. It will be a proud moment for us all!

Vogue Fashion Show Saturday 23rd July 2011

Tonight I attended the Vogue fashion show at CWS with designs created by Zalyn Bailey.
My favourite gown in the show was Lysette, worn by Lisana and Debbie.  It was a satin and chiffon full length A-line strapless ball gown, with a detailed dress with a vibrant off-shoulder and plunging neckline detailed with embroidery. The pleated full skirt floated with every movement. A really pretty gown.
There were lots of lovely outfits but this one was my favourite.
It's hard to believe that in a few weeks I may be on that stage modelling in similar fashion shows. My time at UCWS is really flying by and i'm enjoying it so much.
