Taking our finals Tuesday 26th July

Well I have just finished my finals about 2 minutes ago. Wow! That was an intense hour and 45 minutes. I think I did ok apart from a few nerves. I hope I did well enough. At the end of our exam Anrol asked us to character test on the runway in front of her, to go back to how we were as a newbie. We took pictures. It's amazing to see  how far I have came since November. It's strange to think i looked like that! Here's are the pictures of it for your viewing pleasure :-)

I'd like to wish all my fellow students the best of luck for their results. I've enjoyed our time training together and hopefully i'll see you all at graduation on Thursday. Now we wait.............................and hopefully sleep.
I tried my best under pressure, I was much more nervous than I have been before during my time here at UCWS. I did my best. Thank you to Anrol for taking time out today to put us through our final exam, I hope I didn't let anyone down. I'll post back here as soon as I have my results.................................. crosses her fingers tight. Bye for now, hugs xxx

Midterms Sunday July 24th 2011

Today we had our midterm exam at UCWS. We had to perform beach and dome formations in front of our trainers. For beach we had to wear a swimwear outfit with an ARC of less than 250 including shoes and hair. For dome we had to wear an elegant evening outfit with an ARC of less than 750. This can be tricky but I managed it.
Great news was to follow.... we had passed!
Now we to make sure we are perfect for our finals later this week. At the end we had a picture taken with our trainers who have been amazing! All credit to them for being so patient and helpful with us. We couldn't have got this far with out them.
I'll miss my classmates but i'm looking forward to seeing us all do well in our finals, and hopefully graduate on Thursday. It will be a proud moment for us all!

Vogue Fashion Show Saturday 23rd July 2011

Tonight I attended the Vogue fashion show at CWS with designs created by Zalyn Bailey.
My favourite gown in the show was Lysette, worn by Lisana and Debbie.  It was a satin and chiffon full length A-line strapless ball gown, with a detailed dress with a vibrant off-shoulder and plunging neckline detailed with embroidery. The pleated full skirt floated with every movement. A really pretty gown.
There were lots of lovely outfits but this one was my favourite.
It's hard to believe that in a few weeks I may be on that stage modelling in similar fashion shows. My time at UCWS is really flying by and i'm enjoying it so much.

Styling event creative Hippies theme Friday 22nd July

Tonight was a really fun styling event. The theme was creative hippies. Well done to the winners you did great!

Here is my styling description of what i wore:-Peace and Love to everyone here today! My name is Steph lytham and i'd like to welcome you all to our creative Hippies styling theme event. Hello to Anrol and Steve and our judges here. Throws a big peace sign out to the audience too!

Wow everyone looks so far out tonight! Has Debbie been handing the gin around? Or maybe it's this weed i'm smoking? Phew! It's making me do a crazy dance. Woah! I'm kinda dizzy! Sorry if I stood on you down there,  maybe this flower power hair is throwing me off balance! The term flower power is a symbol of passive resistance, before I forget to tell you.
Urrrr where was I? Oh yeah.... hippies!
Ok man... so it was originally a youth movement us kids got down with in the mid 1960's. A term used to describe beatnicks who moved into new York's Greenwich Village and similar places, you catch my drift?? It came from the phrase ''I'm hip with the situation'' meaning ''I'm aware of it''. I' not sure i'm so aware tonight smoking this stuff! Apart from experimenting with drugs to explore alternative states of conciousness, we like to listen to some psychedelic rock, oppose war and embrace the sexual revolution. Not forgetting our Hippie fashions and the influence they've had over the years.
Well I think i'm gonna fall over soon, so i'll pop you a peace sign n sway over to my Dot. OMG there are soooo many Dots Man! Pretty far out place we got here at CWS.
