Indian theme creative styling event Thursday 21st July

Tonight i entered the styling event Creative Indian, This is my description.......

Namaste (Hello) everyone. My name is Steph Lytham. Welcome to todays styling event creative Indian theme. Namaste is Hindi for Hello.
I'd like to greet Steve and Anrol and our Judge Nina this evening, and hello to this lovely audience.
So today I will give you a little lesson on Indian dress.

Practice Practice Practice!!!!! Tuesday 20th July

Today I decided I would get as much practice in on the runways as I possibly could. I did some practice with my classmate Shreeja Langer on the Beach runway until she had to log off. We've been getting together a lot to practice so we can work on our timing. It really helps to have a buddy to practice with, and we get along really well so it makes it fun too.
After that i sent an IM on group chat to see if anyone would like to join me practicing at the Dome. I got a great response and Vicky, Kinsey and a few other models joined me at the Dome. It's great when a few get together as you can see how the formation works when everyone does it. This was a wonderful practice!
Next up Kinsey offered to come to the beach runway with me so off we went. We practiced here for a while until Kinsey had to log off. She was very helpful and offered to practice with me whenever she is free.
Finally I tp'd back to the new blue runway and spent some time there on my own running through the formation. I really do love the new poses for this runway, they're so pretty!
In total I spent 5 hours doing runway! I'm so glad my feet don't ache in SL! It felt worth it though, it really boosts your confidence when you get in a good practice like that!

Blue runway formation Tuesday 19th July

Todays class was with DebbieDoo. We loaded our huddles with poses for the blue formation and TP'd over to try it out right away. This was the first time we'd tried out this runway but Debbie assured us it was one of the easier ones to learn. I was really eactied to try out this formation as it's this one i'd seen the models perform at fashion shows i'd watched. It consists of 3 straight runways so all you have to do is walk in a straight line and pose on 3 dots, turn around and exit. The new poses for this are lovely! Very graceful and excellent for showing off beautiful clothes. I'm so looking forward to my first fashion show on this runway. Time is going so fast here at UCWS, it won't be long before i'm up here for real with the other models. EEEEEK!!

Dome training Monday 18th July

Today we had Dome training with Lisana. I really love the dome runway as there are 3 runways merging in to 1 and 3 different formations you have to learn, so it really keeps you on your toes. Timing is also essential as models have to drive each other on their huddles on runways 1 and 3 so they have keep an eye on each other to make sure they are in sync.
We took turns inviting our trainer Lisana to our huddles. I really enjoyed this class and stayed on afterwards to practice.

Brains and Beauty Pageant Sunday 17th July

I went along to this pageant to watch and support the finalists as I was intrigued to find out who actually had the brains, as they all have the beauty!
Finalists had to answer questions on different 5 different subjects:-
Colour  trivia
CWS History.
US Goverment
Actors and Actresses
Trivia
As each contestant got a question right they moved to the next gold line on the runway. If they got it wrong they took a step back. They had 10 seconds to answer each question.

The first person to reach the front dot was to be crowned as Ms/Mr CWS Beauty and brains winner 2011 and win 25,000L. Wow what a great prize! But boy did they work for it! The final lasted about 3 hours i think. Some of the contestants had a little dance to pass some time between their questions......
As it was very late in the UK, I had a little snooze lol
For a long time Ajay had us on the edge of our seats, as he kept taking the lead and dropping back. Everyone was willing him on to win!
Eventually he did!!! Meimei took second place and Kinsey came in third. Well done to them all as this was no easy task!
Kudos to Anrol too, she did a great job announcing and judging this pageant final.
This turned out to be a VERY late night but it was so much fun! Well done to all the winners!! :-)
